Iron Triangle Dark Ale is the deceptively quaffable darker side of Iron Triangle Ale. Don’t be deceived by its color. With hints of coffee and dark chocolate this dark beer manages to be both rich in flavor and refreshingly crisp. Brewed with pilsner, crystal, chocolate barley malts, deep roasted malt, and a touch of noble hops, Iron Triangle Dark Ale is perfect for a cold winter night by the fire or a hot summer BBQ.

Serving Notes

Iron Triangle Dark Ale is best enjoyed at 45°.  When served on draught, the beer will be an opaque deep black ruby with a fluffy tan head of foam.  Begin by pouring gently down the side of the glass and allow foam to build.  After a brief rest, top off the pour such that the foam rises slightly above the rim of the glass.  Recommended serving glassware is a nonic pint or tulip glass.

Food Pairing

The rich characteristics of Iron Triangle Dark Ale tends to compliment cheeses with nutty or brown butter type aromas as well as cheeses that leave a subtle sweet impression. Try pairing this with a Gruyére or Beaufort. On the decadent side, baked brie pairs well with the beer’s faint sweetness and roasty characteristics. Iron Triangle Dark Ale also stands up well to heavier savory flavors. Serve it alongside a rack of ribs or your favorite burger to accentuate the char of the food and cleanse your palate. Cajun dishes also pair remarkably well with the beer’s clean roast flavors, which help meld the spice and rich aromatics typical of the cuisine.
